Witching You a Spooky Halloween advent label treat box

This is the first of two treat boxes this week using our fall product line up.  I hope you like this quick and easy two-piece box sized to fit the Advent Label punch.  It perfectly fits two of the Toney Chocoloney bite size chocolates you can pick up at either your local Home Goods store or you can find them on Amazon.  Hint:  They're actually less expensive at Home Goods as their bag is a little larger than the one I found on Amazon.  You can find a video tutorial on how I made this box over on my YouTube channel by clicking this direct link.

Supplies and measurements:
Design a Tag stamp set 168406

Basic Gray cardstock
for top piece 4 1/4" x 4 3/4", score at 1" on all four sides
for box bottom 4 3/16" x 4 11/16" (if you have trouble with sixteenths measurements cut to 4 1/4" x 4 3/4", then cut 1/16" from one long side and one short side.  This allows the box bottom to fit snugly inside the top.  See YouTube video link above
Basic White cardstock for two labels (one inside is completely optional)
Spooktacular 6" x 6" DSP
    2 1/8" x 2 5/8" for small border OR 2" x 2 1/2" for wider border.  I used 2 1/8" x 2 5/8"

Happy Thanksgiving Scalloped rectangle shaped card with hot foil

This card came about during a phone call to my friend when this idea popped into my head.  I wrote it down, finished my phone call, then came inside and went to work on the idea which involved a foiled brick wall, the little mouse, and leaves.  This is the final result.  During the working phase I decided to try to make a scalloped rectangle card...I will definitely be making more of those.  It's so easy to put together and it's something different than your every day card.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial for the scented pumpkin technique, inspired by Lisa Bowden, and how to put this card together.  You can find it over on my YouTube channel by clicking this direct link.

You're a blessing to me fall mice with pumpkin

Hello all and I'd like to wish a very happy birthday to my oldest granddaughter!  What a lovely couple of days we have had here in the Pacific Northwest these past few days!  Beautiful fall days, gorgeous sunsets and a wonderful night sky with the moon in first quarter phase.  I have been loving every minute of this weather!  It's definitely my favorite time of the year.

But enough about that, let's get to our project for today.  I have used the Stampin' Hot Foil system and the buffalo check hot foil die to make the background setting for my scene.  I'm loving this particular background die and the foil!  It adds such a WOW! factor to your projects.  I wanted to make a cute fall card with the Christmas Mice and Painted Pumpkins bundles.  I took a card sketch, modified it slightly and came up with this card.  I do love how it turned out.  Although, I did use quite a bit of different products all together, I think it's definitely a unique card.  The layout sketch is an easy one to follow, I hope you'll give it a try.  To see the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click this direct link.

Grateful for you sketch card for scraps with Autumn Opulence

For my card today, I took the sketch I used on Wednesday and altered it slightly to make this card.  After I made the sending caring thoughts card, I looked over at the layout and wondered if I could fit the Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies in that center section.  My original thought was to use the second largest die; however, it was just too big for the space so I grabbed the next one down.  It was a little small but then I thought, what if I use a rectangular piece of dsp to fill the center.  How would that same 2 5/8" high piece work along with a 4" wide measurement?  The Scalloped Christmas Cheer die fit that measurement perfectly!  I then decided to cut the inside rectangle on the scalloped in a different color to add more interest.  I do love how this turned out!  Of course, you can use this layout for any season, occasion with any papers and stamps!  Let's see what you make.  Share with me over on my Facebook social page at kntdesigns stampers group social.  To watch the video tutorial replay over on my YouTube channel, click this direct link.

Supplies and measurements:
Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP 168336
2 pieces each of three designs, each piece cut to 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"
    1 piece 2 5/8" x 4"
    1 piece 1/2" x 3 3/4" for inside layer, trim to fit
various ephemera cut outs from the dsp
Soiree Salutations 168337
Three Banner Punch 167050
Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies 168544 (3rd largest)
Very Vanilla cardstock
    4 1/8" x 5 3/8", 3rd largest scalloped die trimmed to approx. 1 1/4" x 2 3/4"
    inside layer 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Petal Pink two-tone cardstock (lighter side) scrap for sentiment label
Gold dots 168467
Blackberry Bliss ink pad

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate it more than you know!

Cute ghostly trick or treat box

Today I've created a treat box using the Oh My Fright bundle by Stampin' Up! and mixing in an unexpected stamp set found in the hot foil category of my online store.  You do NOT need a hot foiling system to use the stamp set, it's meant to loosely coordinate with hot foil dies.  I think it's a highly useful background stamp set good for all types of occasions.  The size of this box will fit many treats including fun size, nuggets, kisses, caramels, and Dove to name some.  The finished inside box size is 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 1".  Overall height is approx 4 1/2".  You will find the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel by clicking this direct link.

Supplies and measurements:
Oh My Fright bundle* 168176 (includes stamps & dies)
Echoes of Detail stamp set 170046 (can be purchased in a bundle* 170049 with hot foil dies)
Christmas Mice stamp set 168415 (can be purchased in a bundle* 168422 with dies)
Soiree Salutations for sentiment 168337
Three Banner Punch 167050
Secret Sea cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
score on 5 1/2" side at 2 1/4" each end
score on 4 1/4" side at 1" each end, trim per the template above.
Secret Sea cardstock approx 2 1/2" x 4 3/4" for tag
Basic White cardstock approx 2 1/2" x 4 3/4" for tag
Basic White cardstock scraps for stamping
Ink Pads: Gray Granite, Crushed Curry, Golden Glow, Bubble Bath, Strawberry Slush, Secret Sea, Basic Gray
Stampin' Blends markers: Bubble Bath
Barely Blush Shimmer Brush 167664
Blending Brushes 160516

I hope you will give these boxes a try and let us know what you filled them with.  Spread a little cheer by passing them out to family, friends, your favorite barista or complete strangers.  They can be used for any occasion simply by changing the colors and/or decorations.

Until next time; be happy, good health to you and happy stamping!

Simply Leaves with a floral twist

Today I have a card using the Simply Leaves stamp set by Stampin' Up! but with a floral twist to the design.  I hope you like it.  I was inspired by a card I saw using the leaves to make a sunflower.  It inspired to me to make this floral design.  I added a fun fold and used the Everyday Arches dies and I was very pleased with the results.  This card would make a beautiful birthday card or work for several other occasions as well just by changing the sentiment.  Of course, you can personalize the card with the recipient's favorite color as well.  There are so many ways to use it don't you think?  You will find a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel by clicking this direct link.
