A bouquet of 3D Daffodil cards

This is the second round of projects I showed during the FB Live on 02-15-22.  You can watch the replay here which will show you how I put these daffodils together: https://youtu.be/5SRsVDEiEAY

For this card, I cut the daffodil dies from the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is only available through the end of February 2022 during Saleabration and is free with a $50 purchase.  I used the yellow piece and cut the base layers from the marbled side of the paper and the detail pieces for each flower from the more satin looking side.  The stems and leaves are cut from the New Horizons DSP which can be found in the January-June 2022 mini catalog.  For the sentiment piece, I punched a piece of bumblebee with the Tailored Tag punch and the other from Basic White.  I cut the Bumblebee piece in half horizontally and then adhered to the back of the white. (I show this on the video.)  The sentiment comes from Dragonfly Garden.  The card base is an A2 size (5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" in Evening Evergreen.  The base layer is 4 x 5 1/4" then embossed with the Stitched Greenery die.  I added a piece of the Evening Evergreen organdy ribbon and a bumblebee trinket to finish it off.

For the inside I stamped the images from Daffodil Daydream in Basic Black (butterflies) and Garden Green (scroll border).  The butterflies were colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  Dark on the outside, light on the inside.  The inside Basic White piece is cut at 3 5/8 x 4 7/8".

For my final card, I cut the daffodil pieces in Shimmery White cardstock and used Daffodil Delight ink with my blending brushes to get the color.  I inked the base pieces lighter than the detail pieces to get the variation in color.  I did the same with the stems and leaves using Pear Pizzaz ink.  I added these to a piece of Basic White 3 3/4 x 5" which I stamped with an image from Dragonfly Garden and colored with Stampin' Blends in Evening Evergreen, Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya and Daffodil Delight.  I again used the Tailored Tag punch for the sentiment piece this time in Flirty Flamingo and Basic White.

Well, that's it for this time.  To place an order, click on the shopping cart in the upper right.  I'd love to earn your business, it helps to bring these tutorials to you.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.

Until next time; be happy, stay healthy and happy stamping!

Daffodil Daydream Medley of Cards

During my FB Live Tuesday, I made several cards and showed how to use the Daffodil Daydream bundle of products by Stampin' Up! along with the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper (DSP) which you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase through the end of February 2022.  You can watch the live replay on my YouTube page here: https://youtu.be/5SRsVDEiEAY

This is one of the cards we made.  It is a simple card with a big impact, I think.
Measurements: A2 card base in Daffodil Delight, Daffodil Afternoon DSP 4 x 5 1/4", Flirty Flamingo focal layer 3 1/8 x 4 1/8" and Shimmery White cardstock for the focal image 3 x 4".  Stampin' Blends markers for coloring in Daffodil Delight and Evening Evergreen.  White baker's twine colored with the dark Flirty Flamingo blend.
Inside layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 3 5/8 x 4 7/8".  This is the layer I use for the inside of my cards most often as I can get five of them from one sheet of cardstock.  The sentiment comes from A Wish for Everything.  It can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and has coordinating dies called Word Wishes dies which cover most holidays.  Be sure to check those out!

Supplies and measurements:  A2 card base in Mint Macaron, Daffodil Afternoon DSP 4 x 5 1/4", Encircled in Beauty die cut in Flirty Flamingo, largest Layering Circle die in Basic White using a partial die cut technique. (see video for how to)  Stampin' Blends in Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight.  Wink of Stella pen on flower centers.  Bumble Trinkets and Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon.  The thanks is cut from Basic black using the Well Written dies (retired), but you could use the Amazing Thanks dies which are current and in my online store.  I cut three out and layered them on top of each other using our adhesive sheets on the back of the black cardstock prior to die cutting.

For my final card today, I started with an A2 card base in Mint Macaron, then added a Daffodil Afternoon base layer 4 x 5 1/4".   Using the Stitched Rectangles dies, I cut the rectangle which is approximately 2 1/4 x 3 1/2" in Basic White.  Sentiments are from Special Moments and stamped in Momento Tuxedo black ink.  I cut the largest oval from the Beautiful Shapes dies in Pale Papaya and layered on the rectangle.  The darling kangaroo is from Count on Me.  I colored her using the newly released Natural Tones Collection of Stampin' Blends Markers in SU 400 and SU 1000.  The flower she's holding is colored with Pale Papaya and Mossy Meadow.
For the inside of the card I used the stitched rectangle die which is closest to 3 5/8 x 4
7/8".  I stamped the bear from Count on Me and colored it with SU 300.  I just love the new options available in the Natural Tones collection of markers!  The heart is colored with Flirty Flamingo and her clothes were paper pieced using the Daffodil Afternoon DSP.  I show how I did this in the video.

Well, that's all for me today.  Thanks for stopping by!  To place an order, click on the shopping cart in the upper right corner.  I'd love to earn your business!  Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

Driving By Spiral Dye

Today's project is one of my favorites.  I love how this one turned out.  I wasn't going to get the Spiral Dye stamp set but am glad I did.  This project also uses the Sale-a-bration stamp set Driving By.  You can choose this stamp set for free with a qualifying purchase of $50.  You can shop my online store by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right.  You can watch how I put this card together by watching my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/HXouss4uzYw

I started this card by stamping out my vintage van in Momento Tuxedo black ink on Basic White cardstock and also on a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.  I then colored the van with my Stampin' Blends in Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Grey Granite and Basic Black.  I cut out the lower and upper portions of the van from the DSP and then glued them into place onto of my colored van.  This technique is known as paper piecing.  I then fussy cut out the van and set it aside.  The sentiment was stamped on Basic White using Bermuda Bay ink and die cut with a die from the newly released Beautiful Shapes dies.  The "road" was stamped using a stamp from Gumball Greetings, inked in Basic Gray on Basic White cardstock, then trimmed on both sides to approximately 1/2".  The Spiral Dye stamped was stamped on a quarter sheet of Basic White cardstock using Versamark clear ink, then embossed using white embossing powder.  I then used Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie inks with the blending brushes to brush on the color.  The finishing touch for this card features the Pebbles Enamel Shapes released in the Jan-June 2022 mini catalog.  I love the added touch these bring to the card.

This is the inside view of the card, the sentiment comes from Free as a Bird.

Measurements:

Card Base in Pool Party cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"
Base Layer 4 x 5 1/4" in Bermuda Bay
Focal image layer 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" in Basic White (I started with a quarter sheet of cardstock, stamped and colored, then cut down to this size)
Inside layer 3 5/8x 4 7/8" Basic White
Stamp sets used: Spiral Dye, Driving By and Free as a Bird
Pattern Party DSP (free using Stampin' Rewards of $18, received with an order or workshop of at least $180)
Stampin' Blends in Bermuda Bay, Grey Granite, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Basic Black
Inks: Versamark clear ink, Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie

Calming Camillia medley of cards

Welcome and thank you for stopping by my blog.  Today I have some projects I've made with the Calming Camillia stamp set by Stampin' Up!  You can't purchase this set; however, you can earn it for free during Sale-a-Bration which runs through February, 2022.  With a qualifying purchase of $300 and/OR with a $300 workshop (collective orders with your friends) you will receive this stamp set.  But hurry, the end of the month is coming quickly.  I hope you enjoy my projects today.  If you would to see the replay of how I made these cards, you can watch it on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/HXouss4uzYw

This first card uses So Saffron for the card base and the focal image layer.  The pattern paper or DSP is from the Simply Marbleous DSP pack which is a Sale-a-bration free choice with a $50 purchase.  I stamped the image from Calming Camillia in Highland heather and the sentiment in Momento Tuxedo black ink.  The sentiment is stamped on a 1/2" piece of the same DSP using the reverse side of the pattern paper.  The focal image was stamped and then die cut using the large rectangle found in Nature's Thoughts dies #153586.  I used the same die on all three projects.   These dies can be found in my online store and in the 2021-2022 annual catalog by Stampin' Up!  I colored the flower stamen in Daffodil Delight using Stampin' Blends markers.

My second card features a card base, base layer and stamped flower image all in Flirty Flamingo.  Again, the pattern paper is from the same Simply Marbleous 6 x 6 paper pack.  I stamped the sentiment of this image in Basic Gray, again on the reverse side of the DSP.

For my third project, I wanted to showcase a different way of of showcasing the flowers.  These flowers were stamped in Basic Gray, then colored with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive.  I love the results!  It takes a bit more work than the previous two, but is well worth the effort.  Of course, you could complete this project in a multitude of colors and have beautiful results without a lot of work.  The sentiment on this card came from the Simply Succulents stamp set stamped in Basic Gray, but you could use any sentiment to make this a card for any occasion.  I love the versatility of this stamp set.  I finished all three projects off using the Brushed Brass Butterfly embellishments.  I think they are the perfect finishing touch.

Measurements:
Card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", scored in the middle at 4 1/4"
Simply Marbleous DSP layer 4x 5 1/4"
Smaller focal image layer 3 x 4 1/2"
Sentiment layer 1/2" by approximately 2 7/8"

Until next time; be happy, stay healthy and happy stamping!
