You've Got This with Brusho

I designed this card for a make-n-take for my last workshop.  The ladies had a lot of fun and each one was quite different.  This was my first card made using the new Brusho Crystal Colour (144101) which are available in the Occasions catalog. I first stamped the flower image with Versamark (102283) ink on a piece of watercolor paper (122959).  I then added copper embossing powder (141636) and heat set it with our heat tool (129053).  I added yellow Brusho crystals in the center, tapping lightly on the bottom of the canister.  Around that, I added gamboge or orange and then added red around the outside.  For the leaves, I first put yellow down and topped with moss green.  After putting down the crystals, I took my aqua painter (103594) and, starting in the center, added a little water and "painted" the colors cleaning my brush  as I went so as not to mix all the colors together.  For this technique, a very little water goes a long way and gives you a nice vibrant color.  I set this aside to dry.  After a few minutes, I used the lowest setting on my heat tool to set the color.  I then added a piece of copper trim ribbon to the bottom of the watercolor paper.  I tied a bow with the copper trim and used a glue dot to secure it to the ribbon across the bottom.  Any stray dry crystals can be blown away as the crystals require water to activate the color.

This piece was mounted to a piece of real read card stock.  I put a piece of wood texture designer series paper through my big shot (143263) with a new embossing folder which is only available for free for a limited time as part of the Blossoming Basket bundle (147505) through Sale-a-Bration which ends on March 31, 2018.  You can choose this bundle for free when placing an order of $100 or more.  Stampin' Up has let us know this embossing folder (which is called the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder) will be available for purchase when the 2018-2019 catalog is released in June.  I added the basket weave embossed piece to a card base of Early Espresso.  I did not put a sentiment on this card so it can be used for any occasion I need a card for.  I think this card is very versatile and would be great for just about anything.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and taking some time from your busy day.  I hope you are inspired to try Brusho if you haven't already.  It was a lot of fun and I know the ladies in the class had a great time and were very pleased with their results and how easy it was to use.

Always and Forever Painted Harvest wedding card

I love the way this card turned out (and so did the bride).  It uses Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig for the flowers and Tranquil Tide for the leaves.  I've used the wood textures (144177) designer series paper in the background.  The flowers are stamped with Painted Harvest (144783) which is a carryover set from the 2017 holiday catalog and is still available for purchase.  I also used Always and Forever (143814) from the annual catalog for the Mr. & Mrs. and the tree stump.

I fussy cut the flowers and tree stump.  The leaves were punched with the leaf punch (144667) which is also a carryover from the 2017 holiday catalog.  With wedding season coming soon, this would make a lovely card in any color scheme.

Lovely Thank You Wishes

Today I am featuring the Lovely Wishes stamp set (145924) which can found on page 50 of the 2018 Occasions catalog.  I started with a card base of thick Whisper White cardstock.  I added an embossed layer of Pear Pizzazz using the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder (It has an extra deep impression).  I then used one of the leaf stamps from the set to stamp on some of the raised areas in the coordinating ink color.  That’s one of the things I love most about Stampin’ Up! Everything coordinates--inks, papers, and embellishments!  It’s so easy to make beautifully coordinated projects without worrying about the colors matching.  My main focal panel was stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Momento tuxedo black ink.  I colored the images with my Stampin’ Blends markers.  I didn’t have to as the stamp set has stamps to easily fill in the images if you don’t care to color. I love to color and I've been having so much fun with my Stampin' Blends that I chose not to use those particular stamps on this project.

The sentiment I used is from the Petal Palette stamp set (145785 clear mount).  Thanks for stopping my blog today.  I hope you've found a little inspiration here.  Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you.  If you'd like to purchase any of the items I've used today, please click on the shopping cart to go directly to my online store.  I'd love to earn your business.  I hope you have a happy and creative day.

Painted with Love narrow notecard set

Today’s project features four note cards I made to go inside the You Warm My Heart note card box I blogged about last week.  All cards start with the Whisper White Narrow note cards & envelopes (145583).  You get 20 cards and envelopes in a package and they are made from the thick Whisper White cardstock.

This first card features the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (145580).  Each sheet of this paper has gold foiling on one side and a printed pattern without foiling on the reverse.  I used the Sure Do Love You stamp set (145766) and coordinating framelits Lots to Love Box framelits (145653), bundle pricing (145966).  When you purchase the bundle and the narrow note cards, you will have spent enough to qualify for a free Sale-a-Bration item such as Party Pandas (147221). {Offer available through March 31, 2018 only}

The second card utilizes the same Sure Do Love You Stamp set as well as a coordinating stamp set called Heart Happiness.  (145769).  I used the Petal Passion DSP on this card as well.  The gold hearts are from the Painted Love Gold Vinyl stickers (145586).   The gold embossed dots are from a stamp included with Petal Palette (145788).

The next card again uses the Petal Passion DSP and the Petal Palette stamp set (birds).  There is only one bird in the stamp set, but a stamped a mirror image to have the birds looking at each other.  The heart is from Heart Happiness.  I added a stamped image from the same set by inking up three of the small hearts and stamping them inside the main heart image.  A final touch is the retired washi tape from the 2017 holiday catalog.

The final card uses the same watercolor technique as the heart from the box last week.  This time I inked the stamp with Marina Mist, Island Indigo and Dapper Denim markers and spritzed with water.  I wanted this card to have a very masculine feel to it.  The heart is mounted on a stamped label from Labels to Love punched with the Everyday Label punch.  The gold intricate piece behind is from the Petals and More thinlets dies (145655) which I also used to die cut the birds in the card above.  You an purchase the Petal Palette stamp set and the Petals and More thinlets as a bundle (145974) and save $10.  These items can be found on page 23 of the 2018 Occasions catalog.  You Warm My Heart sentiment comes from Lovely Wishes stamp set (145924).

Thank you for taking time from your busy day to visit my blog.  I hope you found some inspiration and will try your own projects.  Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts.  I hope you have a happy creative day.
