Praying For You Tree

This card was made using SU stamp set Thoughts and Prayers and SU paper.  I inked the stamp using my markers in chocolate chip and pear pizzaz on very vanilla cardstock cut at 5" x 3 3/4".  I then ran it through the texture boutique using Square Lattice folder exclusive to SU.  Sentiment is also from the same set and is stamped in chocolate chip on very vanilla cardstock and mounted over a piece of chocolate chip ribbon across the corner.  I used Ashlyn's Alphabet for the oval tag.  I altered the image with my gypsy (as the center on the original design is cut out) using the hide contour feature.  I also resized it to cut at 1.25 x 2".  Very vanilla is mounted on printed paper from Delicote Dots DSP cut at 5 1/4 x 4" and mounted on an A2 card made from very vanilla.

A small strip of paper cut at 5 1/4" by 1" added to the inside finishes of the card.  Hope you like it.

Valentine bag toppers

I had so much fun this weekend preparing for Valentine's Day.  Here I made some candy bag toppers.  The bag topper is cut from a 4 x 4 inch piece of red cardstock which is folded in half.  I then added a 1 1/2"  x 4 "piece of pretty in pink printed paper with a strip of ribbon 3" long taped on the right side.  The ribbon is from Michael's.  The heart is cut from Simply Charmed  (page 30 in the handbook--I used the shift base and shift layer 2 feature) at 1 3/4".  Face stamp is from Sizzix.  A little chalk for the cheeks, white gel pen for the eyes and faux stitching.  Happy Valentine's Stamp is from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

This candy bar wrapper is cut from SUs pink piroutte cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" .  I scored at 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 3 7/8 and 4 1/8 in order to make it wrap nicely.  Pattern paper is again from SU pretty in pink patterned paper cut at 1 /2 x 5 1/4".  I did make some other wrappers in which I used Core'dinations Scarlet Pearls cardstock.   Stamp is from SU For the Love of Chocolate.  These are made to fit a regular sized Hershey chocolate bar.

Hope these inspire you to make some lovely gifts for the Valentines in your life.

Valentine Heart Box

Here is my version of a Valetine heart goody box from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and Simply Charmed.  I cut the box in chocolate at 8" when rotated 90 degrees using my gypsy.  It fits on a 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper.  The heart is cut from Simply Charmed at 1 1/2" on Real Red cardstock (retired from SU).  Backgroup printed paper is from SU and is one of the In Colors called Blushing Bride and is cut at 2 1/4 x 2 1/4.  I picked the ribbon up from Michael's.

I traced the two halves of the heart fastener then cut out by hand from SU Blush Blossom textured cardstock.  I then used removeable adhesive and placed each half together on my craft mat so I could stamp my face on it using Sizzix clear face stamps, chalked the cheeks and used a white Insignio gel pen to fill in the white speck in the eye.  Finally I inked the edges of each half (except the center line) in cherry cobbler ink before adhering to the box.
Here is the other side of the box.  This heart is also from Simply Charmed and cut at 1 1/2.  In addition when cutting the box I added heart cutouts to two panels in the box at 1 1/4 by eyeballing them in the center of the panels to line them up so you can actually see through from front to back.
I filled each box with candy using both wrapped chocolate hearts and a bag of clear cello bag of either M&Ms (dark chocolate, my personal favorite!) or conversation hearts.  I made six boxes in brown as shown and another six boxes in red which you can see if you look closely in the background.  I used an assembly line process after designing my prototype.  Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy them.
