Whale of a Time ocean scene thank you

My card for you today uses the Whale of a Time suite (154126) from Stampin’ Up!  This is a beautiful suite of products that includes ribbon, Designer Series Paper, sequins, a 3D embossing folder, stamps and a punch.  These products can be purchased as a suite, as a bundle or individually depending on your desires.  I began with an A2 card base in just jade,  I embossed a piece of balmy blue cards stock with the Seabed 3D (152700 ) embossing folder (stunningly beautiful in my opinion), cut it to 4 x 5 1/4” then spritzed with champagne mist shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol.  To this I added a layer of the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper (152460) cut at 2 x 3 1/4”.  I then stamped two seahorses and the coral and kelp on whisper white.  These images are from the Whale Done stamp set (152470).  It can also be purchased in a bundle (154053) with the Whale punch to save 10%, although we did not use the punch today.  The seahorse is stamped in balmy blue, then thumped with  a Stampin’ write marker in misty moonlight to create the two-toned color on him.  I used the same method on all of my images to create a multi-dimensional image.  For the second seahorse, I stamped in bumblebee ink and thumped in calypso coral.  The kelp is stamped in pool party ink and thumped in pretty peacock.  For the coral, I stamped in calypso coral ink and thumped in cajun craze.  I added a piece of pool party sheer ribbon to the embossed layer and tied a bow.  I then added my sentiment on top of the ribbon.  This piece is cut at 1 1/2 x 3/4” and stamped just jade and thumped with pretty peacock.  I did have to fussy cut the images as the stamp set does not have coordinating dies.  For the finishing touch, I added sequins from the Whale of a Time sequins (152461).

I love how it turned out.  If you would like to purchase any of these products or any additional Stampin’ Up! Time to celebrate treat boxes

Happy July 4th everyone!  Today’s project is a box inspired by Angie Pyjas of Stampingwithamore.  I slightly changed her measurements so the box would fit together more to my liking.  These will be going out to the employees of our local Winco store.  The finished box size is 3 x 1 3/4 x 1”.  I used whisper white, real red and misty moonlight cardstock along with the Designer Series Paper from the Boho Indigo product medley.  The sentiment comes from Itty Bitty Birthdays.

You will need a piece of whisper white cut at 5x5.  Score on the one side at 1” and 4”. Rotate clockwise score at 2” and 3”.  Burnish score lines then cut up the score lines on either side of the small squares to form tabs.  Place adhesive on the inside of two of the longer flaps on one end.  Fold the opposing sides in over your tabs, then fold the adhesive tabs up and secure to make the box.

Next you will need a piece of  real red card stock that is 8 1/8” x 3 1/8”.  Score on the landscape side at 2 1/32, 3 1/32, 5 1/16 and 6 1/16.  This piece will wrap around your box.   Dry fit your box by placing the box bottom into the 1” sections and wrap.  Then round the corners of the top flap.  You will need Designer Series Paper cut at 3/4 x 2 7/8 and another piece cut at 1 3/4 x 2 7/8 in landscape if a directional Paper.  Adhere to box to the wrap in the bottom 1” section.  I used liquid glue.  I the. Adhered then front and back to the box front and back to secure.  You do not have to do this step if you like the look of it hanging loose.  To secure the flap, I used a very thin Velcro adhesive dot.

To decorate, I stamped my sentiment in real red on whisper white and cut with the smallest scallop from the stitched so sweetly dies.  I added this to the second smallest scallop rectangle from the same die set.  This was added to the front.  I had some retired stars on hand to embellish and added some red rhinestones to finish it off.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today.  This box could be used for any occasion simply by changing the colors and sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  Please leave me a comment, I would be happy to hear from you.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I’ve used, you can click the shopping cart to the right.  It will take you directly to my online store where you can shop online 24/7.  I would love to earn your business if you do not currently have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

Red, white and blue jar of flowers watercolor car

The project I’m showing you today was created as a make-n-take for my local stampers group.  We had our first in-person workshop this month.  As we are a group under 10 persons, we were allowed to meet.  My friend Lynette had asked me to create a card that could be used as a thank you and used the Jar of Flowers stamp set from the new annual 2020-2021 catalog.  This is the project I came up with.
I started with a whisper white card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2”.  To this I added a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Boho Indigo product medley (153132 Or refill 153925) cut at 4 x 5 1/4”.  I die cut the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies (151690) out of seaside spray.  I did a very light watercolor wash of night of navy and cherry cobbler on Fluid 100 watercolor paper (149612).  Let dry thoroughly, then stamp the jar image with memento ink and punch with the Jar punch (152703).  This punch can be purchased separately, or as a bundle (154064 ) with the Jar of Flowers stamp set.  I then stamped the floral spray from Jar of Flowers (152515) on whisper white card stock with momento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends in misty moonlight, cherry cobbler, just jade, light seaside spray, light night of navy.  I used wink of Stella on the white flowers and the cherry cobbler flowers.  I then fussy cut the floral spray.  I first added my jar to the seaside spray die cut and then used stampin’ dimensionals to add the floral image.

I thought this card could be used for most any occasion and certainly fits the upcoming holiday.  I hope you have enjoyed my card today and have been inspired.  Thank you for stopping by.  If you would like to purchase any of the products I’ve used today, please stop by my online store by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right.  I would love to earn your business.  Please leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you.

Until next time, be safe, stay healthy and make it a great day.
Happy stamping,
Teresa
