Summer Happiness birthday

I saw a sketch using four rectangles and was inspired by Lisa Bowden to make this card. It's a very simple sketch that is very easy to make quick and easy cards with. I decided to use the Summer Happiness bundle. I made two cards, each with a different sentiment but using the same bundle and same layout. Sending Hugs butterfly flight in pink hot foil

My project today features one of the new hot foil bundles by Stampin' Up! I LOVE the new hot foil system. It is incredibly easy to use and the effects are stunning. For my card today, I've opted to combine some catalog products along with the hot foil bundle. The actual card doesn't have any stamping, but if you know me at all there is never a naked envelope....and so I brought in some coordinating stamps from the catalog. Oh My Fright interlocking triangular box

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog today! I have a clever little triangular box I saw Lauren Urbonis making and had to give it a try. She had made hers for Christmas in July and I thought it would be nice to use the Oh My Fright bundle and make one for Halloween. I changed one of the measurements slightly but overall, the box design is as she demonstrated it. While it looks complicated, it's rather easy to make. I chose to decorate all three box sides on my project, but you could definitely just decorate the center panel for the front of your box. Supplies and measurements:

Oh My Fright bundle* 168176 (includes stamps & coordinating dies)

Frightfully Fun DSP 168168 (I fussy cut a ghost & cat image from one sheet)

Basic Gray cardstock 2 pieces. 1 each of 4 1/8" x 11" & 3" x 3 1/2"

Score the 11" piece on the long side at 3 1/2", 7 and 10 1/2"

Score on the 4 1/8" side at 1 1/16" each end

On the smaller piece, place a tick mark in the center of the 3 1/2" side at 1 3/4", then cut from tick mark to the right bottom corner and then again from the same mark to the left bottom corner to form a triangle for the bottom of the box.

Pretty Poinsettia Bright Christmas Wishes

Today will be a Christmas card using the just released Pretty Poinsettia bundle by Stampin' Up! I love poinsettias and so when I saw this bundle I had to get it. After I tried using the impressions plate with it I loved it even more! I love how detailed the embossing on the petals and leaves are. It's so stunning! For my card today I wanted to make a fun fold that would be quick and easy to put together. I pulled out the Scenic Coast designer series paper (DSP), along with the Sunset Coast bundle. I knew I wanted to use most of the 6" x 6" paper as it's so gorgeous. While I was looking at cardstock, I saw a piece I had cut for another project that was 3 1/8" x 8 1/2" and already folded at 4 1/4". That helped me decide on this particular fold, using up a piece I had prepared already. I then figures out how I wanted to cut my DSP and started from there. This card is the result and I think it turned out beautifully! Don't you agree?

Sunset Coast bundle* 167781 (includes stamps and coordinating dies)

Scenic Coast 6" x 6" DSP 167773

4 pieces: (2) 1" x 4 1/8", (1) 3" x 4 1/8" and 3/4" x 3" for inside layer

Secret Sea cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" for card base & 2 3/4" x 3" for sailboat die cut

Basic Black cardstock scrap for die cutting birds

Basic Beige cardstock 3 1/8" x 8 1/2", scored in the center at 4 1/4"

Stamp Pads: Secret Sea, Timid Tiger, Crushed Curry, & Balmy Blue

Stampin' Positioner tool 167768 (very helpful for stamping on DSP)
