Sunflower Love & Courage Making a Difference card tutorial

For my project today, I wanted to make a card using the Love & Courage stamp set and pair it with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder.  I used an ink blending technique to ink my focal background.  The sentiment uses a colored ink embossing powder technique.  I hope you are inspired to make some cards of encouragement for those in your life that are fighting the battle, not just breast cancer, with any cancer.  Change up the colors to suit your needs.  This is an important fight and most of know someone who is currently struggling with it or has fought the fight already.  $3 of every stamp set purchased in my Stampin' Up! online store goes to a Breast Cancer organization.

To see how I've put this card together and learn the techniques I've used, be sure to watch the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel.  You can make several of these in whatever color you choose and donate to a cancer center.  They'll get into the hands of those who could use some encouragement and you get the joy of stamping and giving.

Sunflower Love & Courage friend card

My card today is very near and dear to my heart.  I've used the Making a Difference stamp set for 2025, Love & Courage, to make this card for my friend.  Although, mine is specifically pink, this set can be used for any type of cancer and made into any of the colors that represent the different cancers.  I think it's a must have in your collection.  Who doesn't know someone who is or has fought the battle?  Sometimes a little encouragement is all it takes to make someone's day when they aren't feeling great.  You can watch the video tutorial on how I've put my card together over on my YouTube channel.

Rustic Centerpiece Sunflower card

Today I thought I’d color the sunflower image from the Rustic Centerpiece stamp set recently released by Stampin’ Up!®️. This particular image is the one that drew me to the stamp set, although it has great versatility for all occasions using the separate images in the set.  There are no sentiments included in this one so I pulled in More Messages.  To watch the video tutorial for this card, head on over to my YouTube channel.  Please be forewarned that my internet cut out as I was showing the stamping and embossing of the sentiment; however, I had completed the card (other than the sentiment). I’m terribly sorry about that.

Measurements and Supplies:
Rustic Centerpiece 166186
More Messages bundle* 165473 (includes stamp and coordinating die)
Textured Notes dies 165555
Country Woods Designer Series Paper 163393, 4” x 5 1/4”
Early Espresso cardstock for card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", folded in the center at 4 1/4"
Petal Pink two-tone cardstock, 3 3/8" x 4 7/8"
Ink Pads: Early Espresso, VersaMark Watermark
Stampin' Blends: Pecan Pie, Poppy Parade Lt, Real Red, Summer Splash, Daffodil Delight, Darling Duckling Dk, Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, Pool Party Dk, Natural Tones Deep SU 100 and Medium SU 500

Embossing Additions tool kit (optional, but helpful) 159971

Well, that's it for me today.  I hope you enjoy this card.  I can't wait to use the other images in this set.  The same layout will work for all and yet look very different.

Until next time; be happy, good health to you and happy stamping!

Sunflower scenery mini treat bag

I was inspired to make this sunflower from a post I saw on Pinterest by Constantly Stamping.  She used a cafe bag to put her's on but I instantly thought it would look really nice on a pattern from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper made into a mini treat bag.  I love how this turned out.  It uses the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and Beautiful Branches thinlets dies which are only available during the month of August 2016.  The sunflower is stamped using the leaf stamp on crushed curry cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The center utilizes the tree top stamped in early espresso ink on chocolate chip cardstock and cut out using the coordinating framelits.  I then punched it into a circle using a 1 3/4" circle punch and mounted it on another circle of the same size.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set is is embossed in copper embossing powder on a 1 3/8" circle.  The stem is cut from old Olive cardstock utilizing the framelits.  I hope you are inspired to make something similar.    Supplies can be purchased in my online store at teresaharper.stampinup.net.
