Washi tape and Mixed Bunch butterfly folder

Here is another folder my granddaughter and I worked on for her school supplies.  It's amazing how much fun some Stampin' Up! Supplies and a 15 cent folder  can be for the two of us.  Using the washi tape was her idea.  I gave her the quadrant idea and she ran with it.  It was also her idea to stamp in the center piece.  I love how this turned out.  It is very unique and I'm sure she will love using it.  What 9 year old girl wouldn't, especially when she knows she created it!  The stamp set used was Mixed Bunch.  It is embossed in melon mambo, tempting torquoise and white.  We also used Papillon Potpourri for the little butterflies.  Various washi tape, all from SU) was used.

Back to school embossed pocket folder

My granddaughter had fun making her back to school folders her own. Here is the first one.  We used the Flowering Flourishes, Swallowtail and Papillon Potpourri stamp sets and embossed them using tempting tour quite, tangerine tango, wild wasabi and melon mambo embossing powders.  Of course it needed just a little bling with some basic rhinestone jewels.  There will be no mistaking which folder is hers.  The colors on the black folder make a beautiful chalkboard effect.

I Freakin Love You

This is a little notecard made using SU's notecards, moonlight DSP paper stack, Borderettes photopolymer stamps, Yippee Skippee stamp set, and the newly released For All Things stamp set.  The sentiment is punched with our decorative label punch.  Inks used are lost lagoon, early espresso, wild wasabi and hello honey.  This little card is quick and easy.  Have a great day and thanks for spending a little of your time with me.

Lovely Lacey butterfly card

This card uses a direct to paper technique using an ink pad to highlight the beautiful embossing folder called Lovely Lace.  I used island indigo ink on island indigo cardstock.  The flowers are from  Beautiful Bunch, Flower Shop Pictogram Punches and and Petite Petals stamp sets.  Each of these sets have a coordinating punch to go along with them.  The butterflies are from the set Papillion Potpourri.  Two of the butterflies are sponged while the small butterfly in the middle was colored with Blendabilities.  I stamped them in Momentous tuxedo black ink.  The flowers are stamped in strawberry slush ink on pink pirouette cardstock.  Thanks for looking and I hope this inspires you to make something today.

Work of Art Congrats Wedding Card

Work of Art meets August Paper Pumpkin in this card I created for  one of my daughter's best friends.  I used the congrats card front layer from August's Paper Pumpkin as a stencil to put on this card.  It's sponged in melon mambo on very vanilla cardstock.  I then used the swoosh from the Work of Art stamp set to stamp the background in me on mambo and marina mists.  I started by stamping off once to lighten the color and then stamping each one two more times without reinking.  I used the same technique for the background in the heart layer.  The heart was traced from the inside of the heart element also from the August Paper Pumkpkin.

I then cut out around the Paper Pumpkin element to make the heart frame to go over the top of the stamped image.  The smaller hearts are punched out of silver glimmer paper using the heart from the itty bitty accents punch pack.  I sponged on melon mambo ink to make the heart pink.  I love the way it turned out and every wedding card needs a little bling!

I carried over the theme on the inside of the card as well.  The sentiments are from a retired hostess set called Occassional Quotes, but you can use whatever you have on hand.   My base card is island indigo with the layered piece in melon mambo. I hope she likes it.

Holiday Home Halloween card

This card features a sneak peek of an upcoming stamp set in the holiday catalog. It has so many possibilities and has a matching framelit set.  These will be available to purchase on August 28.

The card base is Cajun craze with a black layer.  The focal piece is created on whisper white cardstock.  I sponged the background with smokey slate, old olive and crumb cake inks.  The houses are stamped on vellum with momentous tuxedo black ink and colored on the reverse with the Stampin' Blendabilities markers and cut out using the Homemade Holiday Home framelit dies.  Be sure to pick them up as a bundle and save 15%.

Owls Hooray it's your day card

This card uses the Owl Builder punch along with sponging ink to paper to create the background.  I used soft sky and a sponge along with a scallop circle to make the clouds.  A circle punch along with crushed curry and Cajun craze were used to make the sun.  The balloons were punched out using a 3/4 inch circle punch and are stamped in blackberry bliss, Bermuda bay and blushing bride along with the presents.  They are from a retired stamp set; however, you could use whatever you have.  The inside of the card features Endless Birthday Wishes and Borderettes stamp sets.  My granddaughter loved this card.
