Fluffiest Friends Sending Love birthday mail box card

Here we are with another month gone by and what a beautifully sunny April day we had here in Oregon over the Easter weekend.  I was inspired to make my card using the Sending Love stamp/die bundle which is this week's featured bundle.  As I did last week, I will also be using some items that will be retiring by the end of the month.  If you want these items, I would order them sooner, rather than later as all retiring items are while supplies last.  Sending Love is not retiring; however, it will no longer be offered at the bundle price when the new Stampin' Up! catalog launches on May 1.  To see how I've put this very pretty birthday card together, be sure to watch the video replay over on YouTube.

A bouquet of 3D Daffodil cards

This is the second round of projects I showed during the FB Live on 02-15-22.  You can watch the replay here which will show you how I put these daffodils together: https://youtu.be/5SRsVDEiEAY

For this card, I cut the daffodil dies from the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is only available through the end of February 2022 during Saleabration and is free with a $50 purchase.  I used the yellow piece and cut the base layers from the marbled side of the paper and the detail pieces for each flower from the more satin looking side.  The stems and leaves are cut from the New Horizons DSP which can be found in the January-June 2022 mini catalog.  For the sentiment piece, I punched a piece of bumblebee with the Tailored Tag punch and the other from Basic White.  I cut the Bumblebee piece in half horizontally and then adhered to the back of the white. (I show this on the video.)  The sentiment comes from Dragonfly Garden.  The card base is an A2 size (5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" in Evening Evergreen.  The base layer is 4 x 5 1/4" then embossed with the Stitched Greenery die.  I added a piece of the Evening Evergreen organdy ribbon and a bumblebee trinket to finish it off.

For the inside I stamped the images from Daffodil Daydream in Basic Black (butterflies) and Garden Green (scroll border).  The butterflies were colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  Dark on the outside, light on the inside.  The inside Basic White piece is cut at 3 5/8 x 4 7/8".

For my final card, I cut the daffodil pieces in Shimmery White cardstock and used Daffodil Delight ink with my blending brushes to get the color.  I inked the base pieces lighter than the detail pieces to get the variation in color.  I did the same with the stems and leaves using Pear Pizzaz ink.  I added these to a piece of Basic White 3 3/4 x 5" which I stamped with an image from Dragonfly Garden and colored with Stampin' Blends in Evening Evergreen, Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya and Daffodil Delight.  I again used the Tailored Tag punch for the sentiment piece this time in Flirty Flamingo and Basic White.

Well, that's it for this time.  To place an order, click on the shopping cart in the upper right.  I'd love to earn your business, it helps to bring these tutorials to you.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.

Until next time; be happy, stay healthy and happy stamping!

Driving By Spiral Dye

Today's project is one of my favorites.  I love how this one turned out.  I wasn't going to get the Spiral Dye stamp set but am glad I did.  This project also uses the Sale-a-bration stamp set Driving By.  You can choose this stamp set for free with a qualifying purchase of $50.  You can shop my online store by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right.  You can watch how I put this card together by watching my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/HXouss4uzYw

I started this card by stamping out my vintage van in Momento Tuxedo black ink on Basic White cardstock and also on a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.  I then colored the van with my Stampin' Blends in Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Grey Granite and Basic Black.  I cut out the lower and upper portions of the van from the DSP and then glued them into place onto of my colored van.  This technique is known as paper piecing.  I then fussy cut out the van and set it aside.  The sentiment was stamped on Basic White using Bermuda Bay ink and die cut with a die from the newly released Beautiful Shapes dies.  The "road" was stamped using a stamp from Gumball Greetings, inked in Basic Gray on Basic White cardstock, then trimmed on both sides to approximately 1/2".  The Spiral Dye stamped was stamped on a quarter sheet of Basic White cardstock using Versamark clear ink, then embossed using white embossing powder.  I then used Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie inks with the blending brushes to brush on the color.  The finishing touch for this card features the Pebbles Enamel Shapes released in the Jan-June 2022 mini catalog.  I love the added touch these bring to the card.

This is the inside view of the card, the sentiment comes from Free as a Bird.

Measurements:

Card Base in Pool Party cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"
Base Layer 4 x 5 1/4" in Bermuda Bay
Focal image layer 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" in Basic White (I started with a quarter sheet of cardstock, stamped and colored, then cut down to this size)
Inside layer 3 5/8x 4 7/8" Basic White
Stamp sets used: Spiral Dye, Driving By and Free as a Bird
Pattern Party DSP (free using Stampin' Rewards of $18, received with an order or workshop of at least $180)
Stampin' Blends in Bermuda Bay, Grey Granite, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Basic Black
Inks: Versamark clear ink, Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope I've inspired you.  If you wish to purchase any items, click on the shopping cart in the upper right.  I'd love to earn your business.  Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

Welcome and thank you for stopping by my blog.  Today I have some projects I've made with the Calming Camillia stamp set by Stampin' Up!  You can't purchase this set; however, you can earn it for free during Sale-a-Bration which runs through February, 2022.  With a qualifying purchase of $300 and/OR with a $300 workshop (collective orders with your friends) you will receive this stamp set.  But hurry, the end of the month is coming quickly.  I hope you enjoy my projects today.  If you would to see the replay of how I made these cards, you can watch it on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/HXouss4uzYw

This first card uses So Saffron for the card base and the focal image layer.  The pattern paper or DSP is from the Simply Marbleous DSP pack which is a Sale-a-bration free choice with a $50 purchase.  I stamped the image from Calming Camillia in Highland heather and the sentiment in Momento Tuxedo black ink.  The sentiment is stamped on a 1/2" piece of the same DSP using the reverse side of the pattern paper.  The focal image was stamped and then die cut using the large rectangle found in Nature's Thoughts dies #153586.  I used the same die on all three projects.   These dies can be found in my online store and in the 2021-2022 annual catalog by Stampin' Up!  I colored the flower stamen in Daffodil Delight using Stampin' Blends markers.

My second card features a card base, base layer and stamped flower image all in Flirty Flamingo.  Again, the pattern paper is from the same Simply Marbleous 6 x 6 paper pack.  I stamped the sentiment of this image in Basic Gray, again on the reverse side of the DSP.

For my third project, I wanted to showcase a different way of of showcasing the flowers.  These flowers were stamped in Basic Gray, then colored with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive.  I love the results!  It takes a bit more work than the previous two, but is well worth the effort.  Of course, you could complete this project in a multitude of colors and have beautiful results without a lot of work.  The sentiment on this card came from the Simply Succulents stamp set stamped in Basic Gray, but you could use any sentiment to make this a card for any occasion.  I love the versatility of this stamp set.  I finished all three projects off using the Brushed Brass Butterfly embellishments.  I think they are the perfect finishing touch.

Measurements:
Card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", scored in the middle at 4 1/4"
Simply Marbleous DSP layer 4x 5 1/4"
Smaller focal image layer 3 x 4 1/2"
Sentiment layer 1/2" by approximately 2 7/8"

Until next time; be happy, stay healthy and happy stamping!

Peaceful Deer Diamond Book Bound fold Project 10 of the 12 Projects of Christmas 2021

Can you believe we are almost to the end of the 12 Projects of Christmas series?  Time is sure flying by.  Today has been a very busy crafting day.  I helped the granddaughters make 68 holiday treat bags for their classrooms, as well as creating this project for today.  I do have projects planned ahead; however, it seems like I tend to create a new one most days.  Crazy huh?  I just have a new idea pop into my head and I have to run with it to see where it goes.  I sure hope you like the project today.  I was inspired by a card Lisa Curcio made which used the diamond element on today's card.  It made me wonder what it would look like when paired with the book bound fun fold, and that is how today's card came together.

Snowflake Wishes Cocoa Packet with Greeting Card and Gift Card Pocket

Hello everyone!  Today is Project 9 of the 12 Projects of Christmas.  I have a great gift option for you today.  First off, let me thank Dawn Griffith of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts for the inspiration for this project.  When I saw her make one, I just knew I had to make one with the Snowflake Wishes stamp set.  I love how it turned out and I hope you do too!  Now without further ado, let's get started.

This card holds anything that is 1/2" thick or less so you have quite a few possibilities for treats inside.  My pouch holds a packet of cocoa, Ghirardelli chocolate and a chocolate peppermint stir stick.

The surprise of the cocoa pouch is that it opens up to a full-size greeting card and a gift card pocket!  You can see how to make this project by clicking here https://youtu.be/XBZttt0RLmA
Below is the measurements and cutting template for the card and box.
