Thinking of You floral with 2026-2028 In Colors

Hello everyone.  We have had some beautifully sunny days here in the Pacific northwest this past week.  It's been so nice to sit outside on the deck and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin....not for too long of course.  I'm primarily a shade girl!

Poppin' by spring card

Fall for Toile Paper Pumpkin alternative cards

Storybook Friends Pop Out Flip Flap Fun Fold card

Black Magic Technique with Easter Lilies & Botanicals

Today I have a card which features the Black Magic Technique.  It uses black cardstock and white ink.  I've combined this technique with the Easter Lilies bundle by Stampin' Up!  I had a lot of fun combining the watercolor pencils and the black magic technique to make this Thinking of You card.  Of course, if you change the sentiment, you can use it for just about any occasion.  To see how to do the black magic technique and how I put the card together, be sure to watch the video replay on YouTube.

Sweet Citrus sketch challenge easel card

 I have a bonus Sweet Citrus fun fold easel card for you today.  I do not have a video showing how to put this one together.  I created this card as part of a sketch challenge for Stamp Happy Academy.  The original sketch was for a standard A2 card base which I turned into the easel card.  

 

Supplies and Measurements:

Sweet Citrus bundle (includes stamps, hybrid embossing folder and corrdinating dies)

Very Best Occasions (for front sentiment)

The easel card base is a standard A2 base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2”, scored at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4”.  I’ve used it in landscape mode.

Brights 6x6 Designer Series Paper in Flirty Flamingo, front piece 4 x 5 1/4”, inside 2 x 5 1/4”

    after coloring, cut a 1 3/4 x 5 1/4" strip, then fussy cut the three images for the focal piece

To make the easel, put all the card front layers together, then add adhesive only to the bottom half of this panel and place at the bottom of the card front.  Be sure to burnish the score lines on your card base.  Both sections should be folded in the same direction you generally fold a card front.  Place stampin' dimensionals on the back of the longest sentiment strip on the inside.  This will allow your easel to stand upright.

Happy Hedgehogs meet Ringed With Nature

 Today’s card combines a bundle from the 2022-23 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog with a new bundle from the JJ 2022 Stampin’ Up! mini catalog.  When I first saw Ringed With Nature I just knew I needed to combine it with those happy little hedgehogs from the annual catalog!  Next I added a fall Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the host reward paper pack called Celebrate Everything.  You can get this 48 sheet pack of paper free using your Stampin’ Rewards when you host a workshop which is at least $150 or place an order of that amount ($180 is needed to get absolutey free or $3 with $150.) Early Espresso card stock 2 1/2 x 4"

Timber 3D embossing folder

Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade card stock scraps

Basic White card stock scrap and piece for inside layer 4 x 5 1/4"

Supplies and Measurements: 

Deckled Rectangle Dies

Happier Than Happy Bundle (stamp and die bundle with Happy Forest dies)

Old Olive card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4", embossed on the front with the Bark 3D embossing folder. (Retired)   If you don't have it already, you can use the Timber 3D embossing folder currently available.

Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper (DSP), cut with largest Deckled Rectangles Dies, approx. 3 3/4 x 5", 1/2" x 4 7/8" strip of coordinating DSP

Basic White cardstock 3 5/8 x 4 7/8", adhere 1/2" strip of DSP to right side, then cut with second largest deckled rectangle die for inside.
