Hello Case-ing Tuesday 547 sketch challenge

For today's card I've used the Case-ing Tuesday 547 sketch challenge.  You can find them over on Facebook.  Each week they take a card from a Stampin' Up! catalog, create the working sketch and challenge everyone to make a project using the layout. I though this layout was interesting and so I decided to make a card using it.  The card you see here is not where I started.  I was trying to use the Swirled Designs bundle along with the Made with Love designer series paper.  I was sucessful in part; however, the flower I was trying to use just wasn't working.  As I had already made the card you saw on Wednesday, I had the idea to switch out the flower for the woolly friend you see below.  It worked way better than my original idea and is much cuter than I anticipated.  Of course, I could have just switched at the swirly flower with a different flower, but as I was already working with Woolly Friends, this just made more sense to me.  I would love to see if you can take this layout, a flower set you have on hand and recreate with your stamps & dies.  You can watch the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel by clicking this link.

Supplies and measurements:
Woolly Friends bundle* 166888 (includes stamps and coordinating punch)
Swirled Designs bundle* 167311 (includes stamps & coordinating dies)
Stylish Shapes dies 159183 (second & third smallest squares)
Fabulous Sayings 167973 (January Product of the Month $5 with qualifying purchase)
Made with Love DSP 167054
    (2) pieces 1 1/2" square, (1) piece 1 1/2" x 2 1/8"
Basic White cardstock 1/4" sheet for die cutting & stamping, inside layer 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Cloud Cover cardstock for card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored in center at 4 1/4"
Ink Pads: Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Bubble Bath
Stampin' Blends markers: Petal Pink, Bubble Bath
Moody Palette Glossy Dots 167180

Thanks so much for stopping by.  You will find all the supplies I've used in my online store by clicking on the shopping cart to the right.

Until next time; be happy, good health to you and happy stamping!

You’re the Best carved wood & watercoloring technique card

I found another technique I hadn’t heard about before and decided to give it a try.  I watched Gina K Designs show the carved wood technique and thought I really needed to give it a try with some Stampin’ Up!®️ products.  I hadn't used the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder and since it's on the last chance list at a discount, it's the perfect time to grab it if you overlooked it previously.  When I saw this, I thought it would be perfect for wood carving.  Be sure to watch the video tutorial to see all the techniques I shared on this project.  You can see it on my YouTube channel.

Supplies and Measurements:
Spotlight on Nature stamp set 163579
She's the Greatest stamp set 165439
Something Fancy dies 160424 (last chance & discounted)
Sneak peek alert!  Gallery Blooms dies 165212 (available in the upcoming 2025-2026 Stampin' Up annual catalog.
Crumb Cake cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored in center at 4 1/4"
Crumb Cake cardstock, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" & 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Ink pads: Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Secret Sea, Old Olive, Stazon black & VersaMark watermark
2025-2027 Stampin' Write marker assortment 165292: Cloud Cover (another sneak peek releasing in May 2025)
2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls 165192 (yet another sneak peek releasing in May 2025)
Water painter or paint brush
Paper Snips 103579 for fussy cutting
Simply Scored tool 122334
die cutting machine

I hope you will give the wood carving technique a try.  It does take a bit of practice to get the ink swiping light enough if you tend to be heavy handed like I am.  But as you can see, it's well worth the little bit of practice.

Until next time; be happy, stay healthy and happy stamping!

Mixed Labels Easel Calendar with sticky note pocket and pen holder

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  I hope you find today's 3D project useful.  I've used new product just released today by Stampin' Up! today.  I was inspired by other demonstrators who had made easel cards but couldn't quite make their designs work for me, so I took a couple different ones, added my own dimensions and my own design for the pen pocket, along with some help from my friend Tracy and came up with this design I'm very happy with.  My original prototypes were too front heavy and wouldn't stand up.  This one works perfectly and doesn't fall forward.  It's not really very difficult and I've provided some tips and tricks in the video, so be sure to watch how I've put this together.  The replay is over on my YouTube channel.

Supplies and Measurements:
Mixed Labels bundle 164653* (includes stamps 164643 and coordinating dies 164652)
Wildflower Designs bundle 163334* (includes stamps 163325 and coordinating dies 163333) or use a small flower set you have in your stash.
Timeless Plaid 6x6 DSP
    3 1/2" x 5 3/4", cut the top at 3 3/8" which leaves a section for the pocket of 2 3/8"
You will have a 1/4" strip left after cutting the 6 x 6” dsp .  I've used it to decorate the back of my easel.
