For today's card I've used the Case-ing Tuesday 547 sketch challenge. You can find them over on Facebook. Each week they take a card from a Stampin' Up! catalog, create the working sketch and challenge everyone to make a project using the layout. I though this layout was interesting and so I decided to make a card using it. The card you see here is not where I started. I was trying to use the Swirled Designs bundle along with the Made with Love designer series paper. I was sucessful in part; however, the flower I was trying to use just wasn't working. As I had already made the card you saw on Wednesday, I had the idea to switch out the flower for the woolly friend you see below. It worked way better than my original idea and is much cuter than I anticipated. Of course, I could have just switched at the swirly flower with a different flower, but as I was already working with Woolly Friends, this just made more sense to me. I would love to see if you can take this layout, a flower set you have on hand and recreate with your stamps & dies. You can watch the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel by clicking this link.

You're the sweetest woolly friend
My featured bundle this week is Woolly Friends. Of course, I have to mash it up with some other products to make the cutest little friend card. This card is perfect for Valentine's Day or any day for that matter. I've used the Lovely Doilies and scored it as was shown by Sara Douglas on each of the scallops which gave it a little lift. She used hers to make a medallion but that wasn't the look I was actually going for. You can watch the video tutorial on how I made this card over on my YouTube channel by clicking this link.

Shepherd's Care Peace on Earth sentiment card with a twist
Hello everyone. This week I am not featuring any specific product. I've been in a bit of a creative slump, so I'm just going where my creativity takes me with whatever products I happen to be inspired by. Today's card features Shepherd's Care from the SD 2024 mini catalog by Stampin' Up!
For my card, I wanted the Shepherd's stamp to be the star of the show. I also wanted to make a card that I could quickly and easily duplicate. Of course, the quick and simple never seems to be quite within my grasp....I just can't stop and so the sentiment label came about here. I didn't want to alter to the label die cut to fit my sentiment and when I put it on the card, the idea came to me to stamp a partial image to the left of the sentiment so it would look as if it's part of the scene. I hope you like this technique as I'll probably be using it more often.
To see how I made this card and the special way I did the sentiment label to blend in with the scene, be sure to watch the video replay over on my YouTube channel.
