Mixed Labels Easel Calendar with sticky note pocket and pen holder

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  I hope you find today's 3D project useful.  I've used new product just released today by Stampin' Up! today.  I was inspired by other demonstrators who had made easel cards but couldn't quite make their designs work for me, so I took a couple different ones, added my own dimensions and my own design for the pen pocket, along with some help from my friend Tracy and came up with this design I'm very happy with.  My original prototypes were too front heavy and wouldn't stand up.  This one works perfectly and doesn't fall forward.  It's not really very difficult and I've provided some tips and tricks in the video, so be sure to watch how I've put this together.  The replay is over on my YouTube channel.

Sweet Citrus sketch challenge easel card

I have a bonus Sweet Citrus fun fold easel card for you today.  I do not have a video showing how to put this one together.  I created this card as part of a sketch challenge for Stamp Happy Academy.  The original sketch was for a standard A2 card base which I turned into the easel card.

Supplies and Measurements:
Sweet Citrus bundle (includes stamps, hybrid embossing folder and corrdinating dies)
Very Best Occasions (for front sentiment)
The easel card base is a standard A2 base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2”, scored at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4”.  I’ve used it in landscape mode.
4 x 5 1/4" Basic White for inside card
4 1/4 x 5 1/2” Poppy Parade
Brights 6x6 Designer Series Paper in Flirty Flamingo, front piece 4 x 5 1/4”, inside 2 x 5 1/4”
3 3/4 x 3” cardstock vellum
4 1/4 x 5 1/2" Basic White, embossed with Sweet Citrus hybrid EF, then colored with Stampin' Blends
after coloring, cut a 1 3/4 x 5 1/4" strip, then fussy cut the three images for the focal piece
Poppy Parade cardstock scrap punched with Decorative Circle punch
Basic White Stylish Shapes circle, 3rd largest
Basic White cardstock scrap for both sentiment strips
Harvest dies for sentiments
Stampin’ Blends to color the embossed strip and the focal images which were fussy cut from the embossed panel: Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody (retired), Poppy Parade
Poppy Parade ink pad

To make the easel, put all the card front layers together, then add adhesive only to the bottom half of this panel and place at the bottom of the card front.  Be sure to burnish the score lines on your card base.  Both sections should be folded in the same direction you generally fold a card front.  Place stampin' dimensionals on the back of the longest sentiment strip on the inside.  This will allow your easel to stand upright.

Thanks for stopping by today.  To purchase any Stampin' Up! supplies, please shop my online store by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right.  I'd be every so grateful.

Until next time; be happy, stay healthy and happy stamping!
