February Paper Pumpkin alternative

Today’s project features the large stamp from the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I used the envelope from the kit as Designer Series Paper on the front of my card which I added to a white card base.  The sentiment strip is the reverse side of the envelope or the inside of it.  I stamped it with Pretty Peacock ink.  To color my flower, I used a mixture of stampin blends and water coloring.  The flower is stamped on shimmery white cardstock.  I was inspired by Chelsey Christensen, also known as Creative Chelsey.  The sentiment comes from a coordinating Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Happy Birthday which you can earn for free.....now who doesn’t love free?

Flowering teacup z fold card #simplestamping

Today's card features the Flowering Desert stamp set (148700) and an image from the stamp set found in the February 2019 Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription kit.  It is a Z fold card and stands upright.  I used cajun craze, grapefruit grove and mint macaron card stock to make the base and Z fold of the card.  The focal image is on a piece of whisper white which has been sponged with sponge daubers and the following inks starting from the bottom and working up:  sahara sand, daffodil delight, mango melody, pumpkin pie, cajun craze, flirty flamingo, gorgeous grape, pacific point and night of navy.  I stamped the cacus over the top in mint macaron.  I then stamped the botanical teacup on a piece of whisper white and colored with my Stampin' Blend alcohol markers in light and dark old olive, light flirty flaming, light crumb cake and light and dark calypso coral.  The flowers on the cup are stamped in cajun craze and are also from the February Paper Pumpkin kit.  I then fussy cut the tea cup image out and added to the focal panel with stampin' dimensionals to give it some added depth and interest.  The mint macaron layer on the smaller front panel and the larger back panel are stamped with an image from Flowering Desert to make my own designer series paper to coordinate.  All you need to make this card is stamps, ink and paper which makes it a #simplestamping card.

I did not put a sentiment on this card as I did not want to detract from the focal panel.  This card was made as a thank card and the sentiment can be found on the inside of the card, hidden from view until the card is opened.

Thinking of you Country Floral chameleon card

Oh my gosh I really love the stamp sets that came in the January and February Paper Pumpkin boxes!    I combined the chameleon and bird from the January set with the teacup from the February kit, to come up with the focal image for this card.  First I stamped the chameleon, then masked it off and stamped the tea cup image over the top.  I used my Stamperatus to accomplish this so I could rest amp if necessary to avoid a halo effect from the mask.  I then stamped the little bird to look like he is standing on the succulent.  I colored the images with my Stampin’ Blends.  I cut the image out using the rectangle stitched framelit dies.  I mounted that on a piece of mint macaron which I also cut using the rectangle stitched dies.  I then cut a piece of watercolor paper, lightly misted it with water and ran it through the big shot with the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions folder.  The depth and dimension is amazing and it’s free through March 31, 2019, with a $50 order! I colored it with my aqua painter using mint macaron for the leaves and pool party and Flirty Flamingo for the flowers.  This is layered on a Flirty flamingo card base.  The sentiment is from By the Bay which is a Sale-a-Bration free item you can use when you spend $50

The inside card is stamped with an image from Tea Together and the envelope image and sentiment is from the same two Paper Pumpkin stamp sets.
Stampin’ Blend colors I used are Mint Macaron light and dark, Flirty Flamingo light and dark, Pool Party light and dark, Crumb Cake light, Soft Suede dark, Calypso Coral light, Smokey Slate light, color lifter, Call Me Clover light.  I hope this project has inspired you as I really enjoyed making this one and I love how it turned out.  If you want to purchase any of the items I’ve used today, head on over to my online store by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right.

Please leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you.   Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  Make it a great day and happy stamping.

October Paper Pumpkin treat bags

These treat bags were inspired by Paper Pumpkin with Boo.  You can find her video on Lisa Curcio's YouTube channel.  I had fun making these and I thought they were definitely cuter than the original project.  I have lots of left overs to make other projects from the kit.

Cheerful Critter girl card-In-a-box

This is a card I made for one of my husband's co-workers. I made two of them for her to use.  The main focal point is from a recently retired stamp set called Cheerful Critters. I love this set.  It makes these cards so much fun.  Card stock is mint macaron with the DSP from Cherry on Top.  Both are new product from the 2016-2016 SU catalog.  The balloons on the card are from the May Paper Pumpkin kit.  I love the stamps we receive each month which are exclusive to the kit.  I've used this particular set on several different projects since I received it.  Other stamps used were from Flower Shop, Petite Petals, Pictagram Punches and A Round Array (also recently retired).  You can recreate this card with whatever sentiment stamps you have on hand.  I added a few  pearl basic jewels in the smaller flower centers and punched an artisan label in dazzling diamonds glimmer Paper.  I stamped an envelope to match.  The tiniest flower on the bunny is punched from the tree builder punch.  Other colors on this card are watermelon wonder, Bermuda bay, smokey slate, and soft sky.  I hope Marilyn loves them and the recipients do as well.  I know I do.

Cheerful Critter birthday Bokeh card

My first try at the bokeh technique and I am very happy with how it turned out!  So fun.  It did take a bit of time to get the background just how I wanted it, but I think it looks great.  I used the Cheerful Critters stamp set.  My friend calls it the I like your face stamp set as it has that sentiment within it.  It will not be available after June 2 so if you love it like I do, you should grab it before it's gone.  There are loads of sentiments that can fit on those little signs. The balloon stamp came from the May Paper Pumpkin kit.  Happy Birthday is stamped from a set called Crazy About You.  It is a very versatile set and allows you to put different words together for multiple  sentiments.  Balloon colors are watermelon wonder, cucumber crush and wild wasabi.  The bear's shirt is colored with Stampin' write markers in cucumber crush, wild wasabi and delightful Dijon.

Here is a photo of the bokeh background itself.  I used cucumber crush, wild wasabi and mint macaron as my three background colors.  Then whisper white craft ink was put on with a sponge dauber and a circle template I made out of cardstock vellum and circle punches in various sizes.

The inside sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Lovely Amazing You.  It won't be around much longer and you should pick it up while you can.  The cardstock base is watermelon wonder cut at        5 1/2 x 4 1/4.

Kinda Eclectic get well wishes

I started this project with a card base from a Paper Pumpkin kit.  I then added Washi tape from the sneak peak cherry on top pack.  The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts.  Butterflies are from Kinda Eclectic and punch with the butterfly punches in the Stampin' Up catalog.  The patterned circle paper comes from the new designer series paper stack in neutrals which will be available to order on June 2.  I punched the leaves from the bird builder punch out of cucumber crush, a new 2015-17 in color.  The banners were punched out with the new triple banner punch. It makes perfect layers!  I loved how easy they were to perfectly match the banner ends.

Colors used are crushed curry, chocolate chip, cucumber crush, crumb cake.  I hope you enjoy my project and are looking forward to seeing all the new product available beginning June 2 as much as I am.  Thanks for stopping by.

Something to be thankful for treat box card

Here are the Valentines I created for my co-workers.  I was inspired by Tina Weller's video where I picked up the directions for the basic card treat box design.  I made two different designs because I didn't think the guys would appreciate the pink colors of blushing bride and melon mambo.  Those colors are real red and very vanilla. For the pink card I used a Sale-a-bration stamp set called You Brighten My Day.  You can earn this set for FREE for every $50 you purchase, you can choose a free Sale-a-bration item between now and March 31, 2015.  Super awesome deal.  Check it out in my online store.  The inside of the card features a retired stamp set called Love You to the Moon and Vintage Vogue.  I masked off the Love on the main stamped image and then used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the friends from the Vintage Vogue set.  Cool huh?  An idea from something my husband said.

This card also features a retired stamp set called Like You a Latte.   The Be My Valentine and heart stamp is from the February Paper Pumpkin kit.  I love mixing the new with the old, don't you?  Washi tape is run along the bottom to create the border.

These card treat boxes feature a pull out drawer.  See the video on YouTube by Tina, the Serene Stamper.

Work of Art Congrats Wedding Card

Work of Art meets August Paper Pumpkin in this card I created for  one of my daughter's best friends.  I used the congrats card front layer from August's Paper Pumpkin as a stencil to put on this card.  It's sponged in melon mambo on very vanilla cardstock.  I then used the swoosh from the Work of Art stamp set to stamp the background in me on mambo and marina mists.  I started by stamping off once to lighten the color and then stamping each one two more times without reinking.  I used the same technique for the background in the heart layer.  The heart was traced from the inside of the heart element also from the August Paper Pumkpkin.

I then cut out around the Paper Pumpkin element to make the heart frame to go over the top of the stamped image.  The smaller hearts are punched out of silver glimmer paper using the heart from the itty bitty accents punch pack.  I sponged on melon mambo ink to make the heart pink.  I love the way it turned out and every wedding card needs a little bling!

I carried over the theme on the inside of the card as well.  The sentiments are from a retired hostess set called Occassional Quotes, but you can use whatever you have on hand.   My base card is island indigo with the layered piece in melon mambo. I hope she likes it.

July Paper Pumpkin Wish card

This card uses mostly items included in the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  I did use the Endless Birthday Wishes photopolymer stamp set for the birthday cake and stamped it in blushing bride ink.  All other items and ink used are included in the kit.   Hope this inspires you to add your own twist to the kit.  If you aren't already a subscriber you can get half off the first two month' skits for a limited time when you sign up.  Ask me how?
