Easter Basket Crate

Just wanted to quickly share this little Easter crate I made for my friends and co-workers.  It utilizes a retired stamp set called Basket Bunch and the crate is from the Wood Word bundle (145136) in the 2017-2018 annual catalog along with the Wood Textures DSP stack.  (144177).

Hope you have a very happy Easter.  Thanks for topping by my blog today.  Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

We Must Celebrate diaper card

Isn't this baby shower invite or gift card just adorable!  I love how it turned out.  I got the instructions for cutting the card to look like a diaper from a video I found on YouTube by Melanie Muenchinger.  It's entitled How to make a Simple 3D Diaper Card-No template needed.

I cut the Pool Party cardstock as instructed in the video by cutting the bottom left corner at approximately 2" from the bottom and roughly 1 3/4" from the left side on the diagonal.  Then using that cut piece on the right side as a template to make both sides even.  I then ran  the cut card base through the big shot with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions (143231) embossing folder.  I ran the cut corner pieces through separately making sure to put them in the folder the same direction as the card base to match the pattern.  The bunny, snail and mushrooms are stamped on whisper white card stock with Momento black ink and are from the stamp set We Must Celebrate (145898) which can be found in the 2018 Occasions catalog.  I colored them with my Stampin' Blends markers then fussy cut them out.  The tree stump is from Always and Forever (143814), but you could also use the tree stump from Hedgehugs (145879).  I stamped the tree stump, then cut the bottom off as I didn't want the whole stump, just the top of it.   I little bit of ribbon on each "fold" where the diaper pins would go and my card is finished.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you are inspired to go do something creative.  Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

This Little Piggy retiform technique card

I had seen several cards using the retiform technique.  This card is my first try utilizing this technique.  It features This Little Piggy (143922) stamp set.  I sectioned off each triangle using post-it notes and sponged crumb cake ink along the edge of the post-it.  After making my four sections, I stamped my pigs in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  The cute little lips and sentiment are also in the same stamp set.

I used Smokey Slate light and dark (145058), Pink Pirouette light and dark (144604), Crumb Cake dark (144581) and the Bronze (144607) Stampin' blends markers to color my pigs.  I then added some clear Wink of Stella glitter brush (141897) on the wings of the flying pig for some sparkle on this card.  Stampin' Blends can be purchased individually, in combo packs of light and dark or in a markers collection (147475).  If you purchase the collection before March 31, 2018, you will earn up to two free Sale-A-Bration products.  Just click on the shopping cart to be taken to my online store where you can get further details.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you have been inspired to try this technique.  Please leave me a comment if you have questions or comments.  I would love to hear from you.
