A little note Enjoy the Moment and Painted Poppies

The card I have for you today is another one of the cards made during my live tutorial on Tuesday.  It also features the stamp set Enjoy the Moment.  This time, I've paired it with Painted Poppies for a completely different look and feel.  This card actually started out as a challenge card from Kitchen Table Stamper and her Connect Four game.  This particular card was changed up a bit during my live with input from the live audience.  It does use some retiring product on the Last Chance list, available while supplies last.  Be sure to jump on over to my online store by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right corner and check out the Last Chance list along with all the good bargains available there.  But remember to do it quickly as once these items sell out, they're gone and won't be returning.  Painted Poppies is carrying over to the new annual catalog, so no worries there.  You can watch the video replay over on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/TL1rTFfZWyw

I left the inside without a sentiment so I could write a note for the recipient, or add whatever sentiment I needed when the time comes.  I really like the color combination of Fresh Freesia and Rich Razzleberry along with the black and white.
Supplies and measurements:
Basic White Thick cardstock, card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

As You See It Challenge #224—-Speed Painted Poppies

Today’s card I made as a challenge from my stamping friend Tracy.  She had participated in her very first challenge, I can’t say I’m very far ahead of her.  Although, this isn’t my very first challenge, it’s pretty close.  So here goes, the challenge was to make a card with flowers in 10 minutes or less.  I was allowed to gather my stamps, ink and paper and design my card in my head or sketch it out.  I designed this card in my head, loosely based on a card I had created several weeks back.  It was a time intensive card with a lot of coloring and shading with my stampin’ blends.  So, I pulled out my Painted Poppies, Varied Vases for the sentiment and First Frost to use one of those stamps to color in my smaller poppy.  I sure hope you like it as much as I do.

I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock cut at 5 1/8 x 3 7/8I stamped the sentiment in early espresso first near the center of the card to ensure I would have plenty of room for it.  Next, I stamped the large poppy outlines, then the smaller poppies in early espresso.  I then filled in the larger poppies using lovely lipstick.  The smaller poppies were filled in with a stamp from First Frost in seaside spray and grapefruit grove.  I then masked the poppies with a post it note and stamped the leaves in early espresso.  These leaves are very quickly colored using the stampin’ blends in the old olive combo with a little light mossy meadow.  I then added my focal image to a card base of early espresso cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, and folded in half.  Time to finish was 8:37:57. #simplestamping

I would love it if you would play along as well.  This was a lot of fun!  Thanks Tracy for asking me to play along.  Now, if you would like to purchase any of the items I’ve used in my project, click on the shopping cart to the right.  It will take you directly to my online store, where you will find the products you might need.  I would love to earn your business.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I’ve inspired to you to go and create something of your own.  Until next time, stay safe, stay healthy and happy stamping!

Happy Birthday To You In purple

Today’s project starts with a base of Whisper White cardstock.  To this, I stamped the splotchy image from the Painted Poppies stamp set (151599) around the outside of the card base in Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Purple Posy (stamp can be inked with the Stampin’ Write Marker if you don’t have the stamp set which is no longer available).  I cut the rectangle frame using the Heirlooms Frames and Dies (152325) in Gorgeous Grape.  I then used the coordinating embossing folder (which comes with the dies) to emboss the frame.  To the back of this I added a piece of Purple Posy cardstock.  I then stamped the birthday cake image from the Sale-a-Bration free Happy Birthday  To You stamp set onto Whisper White, twice.  I colored the first image completely and only the flowers on the second image using my blends in Highland Heather combo, Purple Posy combo, light Blackberry Bliss and light Call me Clover.  I first cut the fully colored cake image with the coordinating Birthday Dies (153590) which are only available until March 31, 2020, or while supplies last.  I fussy cut the centers of the flowers from the second image and added them on top of the complete cake image with mini glue dots.  I cut the bottom from the cake piece and added a die cut cake platter from the Birthday dies out of gold foil to the cake piece.  I added this entire piece to the front of my frame and tied a piece of purple tri-colored ribbon (149708) around the frame piece prior to adding to the card front.  I love how this turned out.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today.  I truly appreciate you taking time from your busy day to spend with me.  If you would like to order any items, please click on the shopping cart to the right.  It will take you directly to my online store which is open 24/7.  I would be very grateful for your business.  Until next time, happy stamping and make it an amazing day!

Always Thinking of You Pleased as Punch card

Today’s card features the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper (153558) available through March 31, 2020 or while supplies last as part of the Coordination Product Release.  This paper coordinates with several of our punches, but can be used without.  I used an umbrella from the paper which I fussy cut as I don’t have that particular punch.  My card base is thick whisper white and I stamped all around the edges with a splatter stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set (151599).  This stamp set can be purchased alone or as part of a bundle (151605) with the Painted Labels Dies.  By purchasing as a bundle you save 10% and you earn a free Sale-a-Bration item through March 31.  The sentiment comes from Very Versailles (149275). I used Thoughtful Blooms and the small bloom punch for the flowers.  These are both free Sale-a-Bration items through March 31, 2020.  The focal image is mounted on a piece of pool party card stock cut to 3 3/4” x 5”. Ink colors used are Blushing Bride, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, and Pool Party.  The leaves in the umbrella flower basket are cut from Granny Apple Green use Coordination Product Release Nature’s Thoughts Dies (153586 )which coordinate with the Positive Thoughts Stamp set(151490). Both are must haves in my opinion.

My second card uses two pieces of the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper.  The umbrella is again cut from the paper and the base layer is a piece of the Designer Series Paper.  This is where I took my color inspiration from.  The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Moments stamp set (151677) and is cut using a die from Ornate Frames dies (150664) which carried over from the 2019 holiday catalog.

I hope you enjoyed my projects for you today and that I’ve inspired you to create something of your own.  Thank you for taking the time from your busy day to stop by my blog today.  If you would like to purchase any items, please click on the shopping cart to the right.  It will take you directly to my online store where you can shop 24/7 for any supplies you may need.  Be sure to take advantage of Sale-a-Bration and earn free items through March 31 2020.  Until next time, make it a great day and happy stamping.
