Woodland happy scene Christmas card

This card came together while I was trying out a new technique of inking and stamping images directly onto the embossing folder.  I started with a piece of card 4x5 1/4" .  I sponged marina mist and night of navy inks directly on to the embossing folder.  I then inked up my images from Happy Scenes and Lovely as a Tree in Mossy Meadow ink and stamped these images directly on the embossing folder.  This was all done on the inside top cover of the folder.  You then place your whisper white cardstock piece inside the folder and run it through the big shot to create the beautifully inked scenery.  I then stamped the both cardinals and the deer from White Christmas.  I used the Aqua painter with real red ink to color the cardinals and soft suede for the deer.  These I fussy cut and put on the card.  To finish it off I stamped and embossed in gold the Merry Christmas banner and fussy cut that.  This focal piece was put on a real red card base.
To finish off the inside of the card, I chose a sentiment from Versatile Christmas and stamped the same tree image in Mossy Meadow from Happy Scenes with another little Cardinal from White Christmas.  It's not a card to mass produce, however, it does makes very special card for a loved one.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I hope I've inspired you to try some new techniques and see where it takes your creativity. If you need to order any supplies, please click on my shpping cart in the upper right hand corner.

White Christmas Home for Christmas deer tags

I am loving the Home for Christmas designer series paper from the new Stampin' Up holiday catalog.  Here I've cut out the individual deer by hand and put them on tags made using the ornate tag topper punch.  For the background scenes I used the White Christmas stamp set from the annual catalog along with the Happy Scenes stamp set from the holiday catalog.  The beautiful striped ribbon is also from the holiday catalog.  All products are available for purchase between 09-01-15 and 01-04-16.  I sponged night of navy, island indigo and black inks for the night sky effect.  These tags were so much fun to create and will make a great gift tag for someone.  I hope I've inspired you today.  Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to stop by and look.  To purchase any items I've used today, click on the shopping cart to the right.

Mickey's Merry Christmas

As I sat on Halloween night having enjoyed all the trick or treaters, I see our Disneyland tickets laying on my table.  So off to my craft room I went and came up with this beautiful card.  By the time you all read this, I will be in Disneyland enjoying the beginning of the holiday season.  This card is on a base card of blushing bride.  The snowflakes were stamped using the Many Merry Stars photopolymer stamp set which is featured in the 2014 holiday supplement by Stampin' Up!  I embossed them using iridescent ice.  The Mickey head is made using the 3rd and 6th circles from the circle Framelit dies and cut from basic black and they are also embossed in iridescent ice using the same stamp set.  The banner is from the White Christmas set in the holiday catalog and embossed in gold.  I had to fussy cut it myself but it was worth the effort.  I hope this inspires and here's wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas.

Brightly embossed Season's Greetings

Gold and silver embossing on these stars from the Bright and Beautiful stamp set make a lovely card in non-traditional colors.  The smaller background embossed stars are from the White Christmas stamp set.  The stars are cut using the coordinating star framelits.  The greeting is also from Bright and Beautiful and was cut out use the Apothocary Accents framelits. The card base is in lost lagoon.  A very popular color for this upcoming holiday season.

Tree hunting white Christmas

a non-traditional Christmas card in blushing bride.  This card uses the White Christmas photopolymer stamp set which I love!  I had so much fun putting this together.  The snow is made using the white chalk marker available from Stampin'Up.  I colored the car in cherry cobbler and the tree is stamped on old olive and colored in pear pizzaz.  I used white craft ink to stamp my snow.  The deer is colored in crumb cake and the greeting is from the same stamp set.  I love how versatile this set is.  I fussy cut the snowman which was stamped on whisper white in momentous black ink and colored the hat and scarf in blushing bride with a marker.  His carrot nose is colored in calypso corral.  I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.  One of the great things about photopolymer is the ability to curve or straighten some elements of the stamp on the block prior to inking.  The straight "road" under the car was stamped with the hill portion of the trees in this stamp set.
