Snow Play Oh what fun!

My friend reminded me I had this stamp set and I just had to use it again.  I pulled it out and dusted it off to make this card.  It's from a retired Stampin Up set called Snow Play.  The sentiment on the front is from a current set available in the holiday mini catalog called Oh What Fun.  The inside sentiment is from Six Sayings.  I love the rose red and island indigo color combination with the Whisper White, don't you?  Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

Wonderland forest Christmas card sponged

One of my favorite techniques is sponging backgrounds. I love the color and dimension it adds.  It takes an image from great to Wow with just a sponge and inks.  For the moon on this card I used a 3/4 circle punch mask.

Wonderland pine branch card

This card evolved while I was trying to complete another card and get the sentiment just right.  It's really quite simple to put together.  I hope you enjoy looking.  It features the Winter Wonderland vellum paper stack which I think makes the card gorgeous.  The gold embossing on the vellum is so beautiful.  Please leave me a comment with your thoughts!

Vintage Leaves butterfly thank you card

Oh how I love butterflies and leaves, so naturally, I couldn't wait to put them together.  This card uses the Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterflies Thinlets.  I cut the solid butterfly images from the new black glimmer paper which will be available beginning September 1st in the holiday catalog by Stampin' Up!  The intricate butterflies were cut from a piece of whisper white cardstock sponged with  Cajun craze, rich razzleberry, cherry cobbler and crushed curry inks.  I finished them off with some pearl basic jewels.  I love the way they turned out.  I made my own stamp pad using the baby wipe technique in a plastic container to ink the leaf background.  It's stamped with the Vintage Leaves stamp set in the annual catalog.  The sentiment is stamped using Endless Thanks inside the frame from Awesomely Artistic and cut utilizing the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits.  My card base is in Rich Razzleberry.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope your inspired to create something today.

Happy Traveler Retirement card

This is another retirement card I created for my co-worker who is retiring at the end of the month.  This card uses the Traveler stamp set, mossy meadow cardstock, Moonlight DSP paper stack, and Stampin' Blendabilities markers which will all be available in the new catalog beginning June 2.  In addition I used one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree for this card.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is cut using the new Project Life cards and labels framelit dies.  Thanks for looking, I hope it inspires you to create something today.
