Jar of Flowers In Good Taste fun fold card

Today’s projects use a fun fold card.  It uses the Jar of Flowers stamp set (152515) along with Celebrate Sunflowers (152517) for the sentiment.  The Designer Series Paper is from Ornate Garden (152488) and In Good Taste (152494). Both cards are colored with Stampin’ Blends markers.  The ribbon on the first card comes from the Forever Greenery Trim combo pack (152475).  I used linen thread for the trim on the second card.  Both cards are made the same way.  I started with a standard card base of 4 1/4 x 11” , folded in half at 5 1/2”.  I added an additional score at 2 3/4“ and folded this score in the opposite direction making a “Z” fold.  I then added a card layer of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2” to the inside half of the fold.  If you would like to see exactly how I made this card, please check out my video on my Facebook business page at KnT Designs by Teresa and while you are there, like my page.  Look under the videos tab and you will find it.  It was recorded on June 1, 2020.

Blossoms in Bloom

Blossoms in Bloom is the feature bundle for today’s project.  It uses both the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set (152684) and the Many Layered Blossoms dies (152684).  If purchased together as a bundle (154123), you save 10%.  I started this card with a card base merry merlot and added a layer of rococo rose to this. The focal image is stamped on whisper white in rococo rose and garden green for the leaves.  I then die cut one of thicker floral of the Many Layered Blossoms dies in merry merlot, then added a second die cut in soft suede to finish off this card.  I did cut away the leaf parts of the dies to obtain this look.  I did not include a sentiment as this card can be used for any occasion just be adding the sentiment to the inside.  I did not want to detract from the focal image.

I hope I’ve inspired you today, thank you for taking time from your busy day to stop by my blog.  It is truly appreciated.  Please leave me a comment, I’d love to hear what you think.  If you would like to purchase any Stampin’ Up! Wildly Grateful Scrappy technique challenge card

Today’s card is one I made for Kylie  and Bruno Bertucci’s scrappy strip technique challenge.  I hope it inspires you to try this technique.  It’s supper simple.

For this particular card I cut a base for the strips in cinnamon cider at 3 3/4” x 5”.  I cut a piece of whisper white at 4 x 2 3/4”.  On the whisper white I stamped various images from the new Lovely You stamp set in the new in colors misty moonlight, bumblebee, just jade, magenta madness and cinnamon cider randomly all over the cardstock.  I then cut that piece into multiple strips of different angles along the portrait side.  I also cut 2-3 pieces of each of four of the five new in colors, excluding cinnamon cider.  Alternating the stamped and solid card stock pieces, I glued them to the cinnamon cider base leaving a then border between each strip.  After stamping the sentiment in misty moonlight, and adding the bumblebee flowers, I cut it out using the smallest label of that shape from Hippo and Friends dies.  I cut the next size larger label out in cinnamon cider and then cut the ribbon slots using the dies included with the die set.  The ribbon comes from Flowers For Every Season combo pack.  It started as whisper white and I colored it using the dark misty moonlight Stampin’ Blend.  The bow is also a piece of the same ribbon, this time cut in half to make a thinner bow.  After adding the ribbon to the scrappy strip base it was mounted to a thick whisper white card base over a mat layer of cinnamon cider Designer Series Paper which is included in the 2020-2022 in color 6x6 paper stack.
